Essential/Desirable Qualificaiton – 1. A candidate shall hold a Bachelor’s degree
obtained from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under
the Central or State Act in India; or any other educational institution
recognized as such or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of
the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or possess an equivalent
qualification recognized by the Government; and 2. Basic knowledge of Computer
Application as prescribed in Gujarat Civil Services Classification and
Recruitment (General) Rules 1967; 3. Possess adequate knowledge of Gujarati
and/or Hindi. 4. A candidate who has appeared or intends to appear or awaiting
the result of the final semester/year of the required qualification can apply,
but the candidate has to qualify and submit the required qualification as
advertised before the last date of submitting the application for mains
examination.

(Agriculture) or B.Sc. (Horticulture) or B.Sc. (Forestry), must be obtained from any of the Agriculture Uni. or Horticulture Uni. established incorporated by or under the Central Agriculture Uni. Act or Central Horticulture Uni. Act or State Agriculture Uni. Act or State Horticulture Uni. Act in India.

Essential/Desirable Qualificaiton – Possess,(i) A degree in Veterinary Science and
Animal Husbandry (BVSc & AH) or a degree in Veterinary Science or Animal
Husbandry (BVSc or AH) from any of the Universities established or incorporated
by or under the Central or a State Act in India; or any other Educational
institution recognized as such or declared to be deemed University under
section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; and have been
recognized under Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984; (C) the basic knowledge
of Computer Application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services
Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967; and (D) adequate
knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both. (E) Candidate appointed by direct
selection shall get himself registered with the Gujarat Veterinary Council or
Veterinary Council of India statutory bodies established under the Indian
Veterinary Council Act,1984 at the time of making the application; if he/she is
not so registered.
